Investment Executive – Private Client Group

Location: Chicago, IL (and surrounding suburbs) 

Position Type: Full-Time

About the Role:  Murphree Investment Group, a Lake Forest-based independent investment firm founded in 2006, is seeking an experienced Investment Executive to join its private client platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for a select group of high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutional accounts 

  • Structure and execute bespoke investment programs across public/private markets, alternative investments, and direct opportunities 

  • Partner with the firm’s investment banking, venture capital, and research teams to source proprietary deal flow and co-investment opportunities  

  • Collaborate with internal portfolio managers and external managers on asset allocation, risk management, and tax-efficient implementation 

  • Expand existing relationships and originate new relationships

What You'll Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications):

  • Established Book of Business: A demonstrable track record of managing significant portfolios.

  • FINRA Licensure: Active and clean Series 7, 63, and 65 (or 66) licenses.

  • State Insurance License: Active Life/Health license (or ability to obtain quickly).

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in a financial advisory or wealth management role.
